The kilfin law firm, p.c. is a full service tampa bay dui and criminal defense firm. we represent clients in st. petersburg, clearwater, tampa, new port richey, dade city, and bradenton. the kilfin law firm, p.c. is owned and operated by former pinellas county state prosecutor donald j. kilfin.

mr. kilfin attended stetson university college of law, in st. petersburg, florida, from 1997-2000. during that time, he studied all facets of the law, with a particular emphasis on criminal procedure, evidence, and trial advocacy. mr. kilfin was published in the 2000 editions of who's who among american law students and the national dean's list based on his academic achievements at stetson.

upon graduation, mr. kilfin accepted a position with the pinellas county state attorney's office, where he worked as a prosecutor for the next six years. during that time, mr. kilfin handled thousands of criminal cases which ranged in severity from minor traffic infractions to first degree murder. he conducted over sixty jury trials to verdict.

in 2008, after working in a st. petersburg area civil defense firm, mr. kilfin associated with a close friend and former fifteen year state prosecutor to form one of pinellas county's most successful and well respected criminal defense firms. for the next five years, mr. kilfin represented dozens of clients in an array of criminal matters including assualt, battery, drug trafficking, firearms offenses and murder. during his time there, mr. kilfin was published in the national trial lawyers top 100 and super lawyers' rising stars.

in 2013, mr. kilfin relocated to georgia (where he is also licensed to practice law) to reconnect with family and lifelong friends. upon arrival, he immediately set to work on forming the kilfin law firm, p.c.
